Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept a donation of 44 pairs of in-line skates from K2 Sports for skating programs at North Dale, Palace, and Phalen recreation centers.
Body
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department periodically receives unsolicited contributions of money and/or goods from a variety of nonprofit organizations; and
WHEREAS, K2 Sports wishes to donate (44) pairs of in-line skates to North Dale, Palace and Phalen recreation centers; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department will provide skating programs to the public using these skates; and
WHEREAS, the City believes that accepting this donation is a benefit to the citizens of Saint Paul as it enhances the amenities and program for use in the park system; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts the donation of the in-line skates from K2 Sports for North Dale, Palace and Phalen recreation centers, and thanks K2 Sports for their generous donation.
