Purpose of Appeal
Escape windows basement bedroom windows, minimum size 5 square feet of glazed area we have 21-1/2 " x 38" = 5.67 sq. ft. Casement crank out opening size 18-1/2" wide x 38" tall = 4.88 sq. ft. Sill height at 44". We would like to appeal the width as this was up to code when the home was built 1961.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the appeal of Shirley Olson to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Correction Notice at 528-530 FRONTENAC PLACE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant a 2.5-inch variance on the openable height of the egress windows in all three bedrooms in both units; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
