Title

Approving the use of Neighborhood STAR grant funds for a change in scope of work for RealBigHuge Brewing Company LLC.

Body

WHEREAS, on December 13, 2023, RealBigHuge Brewing Company LLC was awarded up to $50,000 in Neighborhood STAR grant funds for their 429 Storefront Revitalization and Taproom Expansion project; and

WHEREAS, on June 12, 2026, the Neighborhood STAR Board reviewed a request for RealBigHuge Brewing Company LLC to change the scope of their project to include additional interior and exterior enhancements; and

WHEREAS, the Neighborhood STAR Board rates grant requests on a scale from 1 (low) to 5 (high) with RealBigHuge Brewing Company LLC‘s proposal to change the scope of their project receiving a final score of 5; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Saint Paul City Council approve the use of the $50,000 Neighborhood STAR grant awarded in December of 2023 to RealBigHuge Brewing Company LLC for their project to include additional interior and exterior enhancements; now be it

RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon the recommendation of the Mayor that funds are still available for appropriation, that the change of scope of work described above is hereby approved; and be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that staff of the Department of Planning and Economic Development are further authorized and directed to proceed with all other actions necessary to implement this Resolution, including finalizing all documents and agreements, subject to approval by the City Attorney’s Office; and be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper City official(s) are hereby approved and authorized to execute any and all documents in connection with this Resolution, subject to approval by the City Attorney’s Office; and be it

 

FINALLY RESOLVED, that this Resolution does not constitute a binding legal agreement; rather, the action taken herein shall not be effective until said documents are executed by the appropriate official(s) of the City.
