Authorizing an increase in the Parks and Recreation 2026 Grant Fund Budget in the amount of $510,000 to reflect grant funding awarded from the State of Minnesota DNR for a recurring operational grant at the Como Zoo and Conservatory for State Fiscal years 2026 and 2027.
Body
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation has been awarded $510,000 from the State of Minnesota, Department of Natural Resources for the Como Zoo Grant in State Fiscal Years 2026 and 2027; and
WHEREAS, none of the additional grant funding listed above requires any matching funds; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to establish and amend this Grant Fund budget with spending plans for the additional funding as outlined in the attached financial analysis; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.01 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $510,000 in excess of those estimated in the current Grant Budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes these amendments for the Life-to-date Grant Budget.
