Accepting the donation of various additional elements for finishing the El Rio Vista athletic field turf, including inlaid football hash marks, inlaid football numbers and arrows, inlaid baseball markings, inlaid softball markings, and GroomRight and SweepRight, with a value of $34,425.00, at no additional cost.

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is performing site improvements at the El Rio Vista Recreation Center Athletic Fields which includes installation of synthetic turf at the Gilbert de la O field; and
WHEREAS, FieldTurf USA, Inc. is the contractor selected to provide and install the turf; and
WHEREAS, FieldTurf USA, Inc. has offered to donate various additional elements for finishing the turf (Inlaid Football Hash Marks, Inlaid Football Numbers and Arrows, Inlaid Baseball Markings, Inlaid Softball Markings, and GroomRight and SweepRight, valued at $34,425.00) at no additional cost; and
WHEREAS, purchase of the turf and installation was done through the National Joint Powers Alliance, the contracting process complied with all competitive bidding requirements, and the donated items did not in any way influence selection of the contractor; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts the donation of the additional elements for finishing the field and thanks FieldTurf USA, Inc. for their generous gift.
