Certifying the proposed Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) tax levy payable in 2015.
Body
WHEREAS, staff has presented to the Saint Paul City Council the 2015 HRA proposed budget ("2015 Proposed Budget") of the Board of Commissioners of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota ("HRA") for its consideration; and
WHEREAS, the HRA Board of Commissioners, in order to comply with the State of Minnesota's Truth-In-Taxation laws, MN. Stat. Section 275.065 Subdivision 1, must certify a proposed property tax levy payable in 2015 to Ramsey County by September 15, 2014: and
WHEREAS, the HRA proposed property tax levy payable in 2015, is $3,278,148,calculated as follows:
Levy Budget Revenue for HRA General and Loan Enterprise Fund $3,212,585
2.0% Delinquency Allowance 65,563
Proposed HRA Tax Levy $3,278,148
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota as follows:
1. The 2015 Proposed Budget is accepted as constituting the Proposed Budget by the City Council.
2. The proposed HRA property tax levy for tax payable in 2015 in the amount of $3,278,148 is approved and certified to Ramsey County for use in calculating the Truth-in-Taxation Notification.
