Authorizing the Fire Department to pay for all costs incurred to hold a graduation ceremony for the EMS Academy on October 9, 2023 at the Conway Recreation Center.

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Fire Department is holding a formal graduation ceremony for the EMS Academy graduates on October 9, 2023 at the Conway Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, the ceremony recognizes the achievement of the new EMS Academy graduates and includes a reception where light refreshments will be served; and
WHEREAS, the expenditure of money for the light refreshments serves a public purpose by celebrating the successful graduation of the EMS Academy graduates; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby authorizes the expenditure of funds not to exceed $200 for the reception of the EMS Academy graduates.
