Authorizing the Police Department to enter into a Cooperative Agreement with the City of Minneapolis for the 2019 Men’s National Collegiate Athletic Association Basketball Tournament.

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Police Department (SPPD) wishes to enter into an intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the City of Minneapolis for the 2019 Men’s National Collegiate Athletic Association Basketball Tournament; and

WHEREAS, the City of Minneapolis is in need of additional law enforcement personnel to provide public safety and security measures for the event; and

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the council approves entering into this agreement and authorizes Assistant Chief Kathleen Wuorinen to implement the attached agreement with the City of Minneapolis.
