Accepting the gift of airfare, transportation, lodging and meals from the Roy Wilkins Center and the Humphrey School for Public Affairs for Deputy Mayor Jaime Tincher and the Department of Planning and Economic Development (PED) Director Dr. Bruce Corrie to attend the 5th World Conference on Remedies to Racial and Ethnic Inequality in Vitoria, Brazil on September 26-29, 2018.

WHEREAS, the Roy Wilkins Center at the Humphrey School for Public Affairs, with its local, national and global networks, is a critical resource for the City of Saint Paul as we work to address issues around community wealth building for all in Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, Deputy Mayor Jaime Tincher and Planning and Economic Development Director (PED) Dr. Bruce Corrie have been invited by the Roy Wilkins Center at the Humphrey School for Public Affairs to participate in the 5th World Conference on Remedies to Racial and Ethnic Inequality, September 26-29, 2018 in Vitoria, Brazil; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul is formally part of the Minnesota Delegation attending this conference, and this will be an opportunity for the City of Saint Paul to have the chance to participate in a broad and deliberate discussion on action plans for equitable change across sectors and around the world; and
WHEREAS, the convening will be attended by government administrators, policy analysts, researchers, and practitioners worldwide; and
WHEREAS, the Roy Wilkins Center at the Humphrey School for Public Affairs will cover all expenses related to airfare, transportation, lodging and meals, for Deputy Mayor Jaime Tincher and PED Director Dr. Bruce Corrie, in an amount not to exceed $4,200.00; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts the offer from the Roy Wilkins Center at the Humphrey School for Public Affairs to cover expenses related to airfare, transportation, lodging, and meals for Deputy Mayor Jaime Tincher and PED Director Dr. Bruce Corrie to attend...
