Approving adverse action against the Taxicab Driver license application submitted by Addisu Amerga Keryo for the City of Saint Paul.

WHEREAS, adverse action was taken against the Taxicab Driver license application submitted by Addisu Amerga Keryo (License ID #20080001486) for the City of Saint Paul by Notice of Intent to Deny License dated October 20, 2010, alleging that the licensee was convicted on November 5, 2008, of Misdemeanor Traffic-DWI-Operate Motor Vehicle-Alcohol Concentration 0.08 Within 2 Hours in violation of Minn. Stat. § 169A.20.1(5) in Hennepin County District Court; and
WHEREAS, per Saint Paul Legislative Code §376.16 (e)(5)(a)(2), the licensing office recommended license denial due to the fact that the licensee was convicted of a misdemeanor within three (3) years immediately preceding license application; and
WHEREAS, licensee did not respond to the Notice of Intent to Deny License to request a public or administrative hearing or withdraw his license application; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Deny License stated that if the licensee failed to request a public or administrative hearing or withdraw his license application by November 1, 2010, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Taxicab Driver license application submitted by Addisu Amerga Keryo is hereby denied.
