Date/Time of 1st LH:  Tuesday, March 17, 2026, teleconference between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.

Purpose of Appeal:  Would work on as soon as possible to be able to bring back to code.

Date of Order(s) Under Appeal:  March 6 for Notice of Condemnation

Inspector/Key Staff:  Keith Demarest for Notice of Condemnation

Legislative Hearing Staff Comments:  Legislative Hearing Coordinator said that the property is in the vacant building program, but those types of orders are no longer written.  Appellant said he was not aware that he was in the vacant program.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Brian Goben, JJ Rental Properties, to a vacant building notice plus Notice of Condemnation and Order to Remain Vacant at 850 EDMUND AVENUE, UPPER UNIT, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council [recommendation]; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
