I am echoing my neighbor's questions & concerns! community members have the Right to know: 1) How much of the City of St. Paul's budget is going towards aiding Federal Law Enforcement in local operations which is in direct violation of the City's own separation ordinance? 2) Spell out in no uncertain terms how the increased investments in SPPD are going to protect and serve our community? Will SPPD ensure that laws are followed such as checking that a warrant is issued if a person is being abducted by masked, unidentified individuals? 3) Is there any current research and planning being conducted to know exactly what SPPD can do to protect us, the taxpaying residents, when facing federal agents if they are acting illegally? 4) Is there any updated training and instruction being provided to SPPD officers in the streets on how to deal with this unprecedented situation - federal agents are committing CRIMES

We have some of the highest tax rates and we have nothing to show for it. Our schools are severely lacking funding, our roads are falling apart, businesses are constantly leaving and there is nothing being done about the increasing homeless population. With these tax hikes, it's only going to get worse. I'm maybe a year or two away from being forced out of my home due to rising property taxes. Stop wasting our tax dollars on useless admin jobs for the city and schools, stop ***isting ICE, stop allowing politicians to be paid out.

We have the highest taxes of almost any place I know. We have the highest in the state of Minnesota. What I want to know is how is that money being spent on protecting the people of this city. Are we paying the police to tear gas us for peaceful protesting? How much of this budget is going towards federal law enforcement in our communities? What is the city doing to make life better for its citizens?

What oversight is this Council and Mayor providing to the Police department to ensure that our city is a safe place for all residents and not uplifting fear through illegal enforcement? What are the current regulations regarding SPPD officers identifying themselves to the public, and what steps will be taken to ensure compliance with those regulations? Is there additional language needed to ensure officers are identifiable during these types of situations? Is the city/department preparing a more explicit and detailed policy regarding local law enforcement support/response to requests for aid for federal immigration actions? If not, why?

With Saint Paul having some of the highest mortgage balance in the United states (according county level data from oppurtunity atlas), Why are we spending money on a police force that refuses to showbadges

As the City of St. Paul considers their request of more than 5% levy increase, community members have the Right to know: 1) How much of the City of St. Paul's budget is going towards aiding Federal Law Enforcement in local operations which is in direct violation of the City's own separation ordinance? 2) How can we be sure that the increased investments in SPPD are going to protect and serve our community? Will SPPD protect peaceful protestors and ***ure that laws are followed such as checking that a warrant is issued if a person is being abducted by masked, unidentified individuals? 3) Is there any current research and planning being conducted to know exactly what SPPD can do to protect us, the taxpaying residents, when facing federal agents if they are acting illegally? 4) Is there any updated training and instruction being provided to SPPD officers in the streets on how to deal with this unprecedented situation - federal agents are committing illegal acts in our country
