Amending the 2021 spending budget within the Department of Public Works Administration Fund Office Administration Accounting Unit.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul strives to sustainably reduce waste and unnecessary packaging wherever possible; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff members have expressed interest in upgrading the drinking water dispensers on Public Works City Hall Annex floors to include refillable water bottle capability; and
WHEREAS, with employees returning over the next several months from remote work it now is appropriate to make this investment; and
WHEREAS, there is available funding in the 2021 Office Administration Accounting Unit; and
WHEREAS, $25,000 should be moved from Services and Materials to the Capital Outlay budget; therefore via ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER, consistent with the authority granted to the Mayor in Section 10.07.4 of the City Charter, and on the request of the Director of the Public Works Department to amend the 2021 spending budget to reallocate funds within existing budgets to more accurately reflect anticipated spending and provide appropriate levels of spending authority within the PW Office Administration Accounting Unit budget. The Director of the Office of Financial Services is authorized to amend said budget in the manner specified in the attached financial analysis form.
