Approving the Mayor’s appointment of Michelle Collins, Oliver Grotzke, and Hser Wah to two-year terms on the Labor Standards Advisory Committee.
Body
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Administrative Code Section 11.04 states that the committee shall have sixteen (16) members appointed by the mayor with the consent of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Labor Standards Advisory Committee (LSAC) will have members representing Saint Paul employees, employers, and community representatives such as labor unions, trade associations, general business organizations, governmental agencies, and community organizations dedicated to labor standards advocacy; and
WHEREAS, the LSAC is tasked with advising and supporting the labor standards division in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and rules, strengthening existing community partnerships, recommending division actions, engaging business owners, workers, and the community, and more; and
WHEREAS, Michelle Collins, Oliver Grotzke, and Hser Wah are participants in the Youth on Boards program in Parks and Recreation and have been recommended by staff to serve on the Labor Standards Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Kaohly Her wishes to appoint Michelle Collins, Oliver Grotzke, and Hser Wah to the Labor Standards Advisory Committee to a two-year term ending on March 31, 2028; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves the appointment of Michelle Collins, Oliver Grotzke, and Hser Wah to two-year terms as members of the Labor Standards Advisory Committee for a term ending on March 31, 2028.
