Title

Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $35,000 to reflect additional expected funding received in 2017 from Right Track and Youthprise contributions and donations. 

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to establish new budgets in the Grant Fund to receive projected contribution and donation revenues of $30,000 for Right Track and $5,000 for Youthprise; and

 

WHEREAS, each grant has its own grant budget established, however, Right Track and Youthprise are both projected to generate contribution and donation revenue, which is not eligible to be included with grant funding and therefore requires an additional “non-grant” budget be established to receive the various contributions and donations; and  

 

WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation has developed spending plans to best utilize this additional “non-grant” funding for 2017; and

 

WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to amend the Grant Fund budget to reflect this additional funding and spending plan; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.01 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $35,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2017 budget; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul approves these amendments to the 2017 budget.
