Authorizing the Police Department to amend the financing and spending plans in the Police Department grant fund.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department (SPPD) received the 2024 State Homeland Security Program grant (RES PH 25-86); and
WHEREAS, the 2026 financing and spending plans in the grant fund need to be amended to more accurately reflect current year activity for this grant; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $235,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2026 grant fund budget; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor approves these changes to the 2026 budget as amended on the attached financial analysis.
