Authorizing the Fire Department to accept the donation of 500 combination smoke alarms/CO detectors valued at $29,985 from Kidde.
Body
WHEREAS, Kidde, a manufacturer of fire safety products, has a public service campaign "Cause of Alarm" to help families everywhere make fire safety a priority and make every home a safer home; and
WHEREAS, Kidde has offered to donate 500 combination smoke alarm/CO detectors valued at $29,985 to the Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department would like to accept the donation of smoke alarms/CO detectors from Kidde; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this donation will be to support the Department's Project Safe Haven program; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts this donation of combination smoke alarms/CO detectors from Kidde, and thanks Kidde for its generous gift.
