Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to apply for and, if approved, accept a Youth Football Equipment grant from USA Football in the amount of $1,000.00.
Body
WHEREAS, the USA Football organization has selected the Department of Parks and Recreation as a finalist to receive a $1000 youth football equipment grant; and
WHEREAS, the grant would provide football equipment for youth participants of the North Area Football Association (includes North Dale Recreation Center and Rice Recreation Center); and
WHEREAS, receipt of the football equipment will benefit the youth participants and further the mission of the Department of Parks and Recreation, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby authorizes the Department of Parks and Recreation to apply for, and if select, to accept this grant, and to enter into any agreements necessary to further the purchase of the equipment.
