Appeal of Rob Yang to a Vacant Building Registration Renewal Notice at 1573 UNIVERSITY AVENUE WEST.

 

Date/Time of 1st LH:  Tuesday, January 23, 2024, teleconference between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Purpose of Appeal:  This building does not meet the dangerous structure definition. I have open permits to renovate this building. I have installed new doors, windows, drywall, support beam, new electrical, and plumbing. The building is secure and in no danger of collapsing. There is new exterior face and siding. The top unit has new cabinets, closets, and kitchen counters.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Rob Yang to a Vacant Building Registration Renewal Notice at 1573 University Avenue West, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council waive the vacant building fee for 90 days to April 19, 2024; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
