Authorizing the City of Saint Paul to accept easements for the Port Authority's Beacon Bluff Business Park Redevelopment Project.
Body
WHEREAS, The Port Authority of the City of Saint Paul ("Port Authority") is redeveloping the former 3M site north of Phalen Boulevard (the "Property") as part of its Beacon Bluff Business Park Redevelopment Project; and
WHEREAS, the redevelopment includes the construction of public streets and the placement of drainage and utility easements on the Property; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul seeks to acquire a dedication of public street, drainage and utility easement rights (the "Easement") for crossing said Property, as described and depicted in Attachment A; and further seeks to acquire fee title to a portion of the Property to be used for stormwater management purposes, as described and depicted in Attachments B1 and B2; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council hereby accept the Easement in a form and content substantially as set forth in Attachment A; authorize future acceptance of a deed from the Port Authority conveying fee title to the portion of the Property as set forth in Attachments B1 and B2; and authorize and direct the proper city officials to record said Easement and deed with Ramsey County upon execution by the Port Authority.
