WHEREAS, the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative is a collaboration between Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard Business School, and Bloomberg Philanthropies to equip mayors and senior city officials to tackle complex challenges in their cities and improve the quality of life of their residents; and
WHEREAS, this year’s senior leaders program will take place from August 9th, 2026 to August 13th, 2026 in New York City, New York; and
WHEREAS, Assistant Mayors Nick Stumo-Langer and Hnu Vang have been invited to attend and participate in the City Leadership Initiative 2027 senior leaders cohort; and
WHEREAS, the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative has offered to cover the tuition, travel expenses, meals, and lodging for Assistant Mayors Nick Stumo-Langer and Hnu Vang to attend; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul finds that attendance at this convening is beneficial to the City by providing an opportunity for participants to engage in sessions to develop expertise, obtain practical knowledge, and to develop a professional network; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the gift of travel expenses and tuition for Assistant Mayors Nick Stumo-Langer and Hnu Vang to attend the program and thanks the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative for their generosity.
