Authorizing the City of Saint Paul to apply for and execute a Limited Use Permit with the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation (MnDOT) for a shared use trail within the right-of-way of Trunk Highway 94 at McKnight Road.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul is a political subdivision, organized and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has approved a plan to construct a shared use trail in the right-of-way of Trunk Highway 94 to promote the orderly and safe crossing of the highway; and
WHEREAS, MnDOT requires a Limited Use Permit for the construction and utilization of said off-street shared use trail.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes the appropriate city officials to apply for the Limited Use Permit with MnDOT for the construction, operation and maintenance of a shared use trail within the right- of--way of Trunk Highway 94 of the State of Minnesota along McKnight Road in accordance with the Limited Use Permit granted by MnDOT; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the City Engineer is authorized to execute the Limited Use Permit and any amendments to the Permit.
