Recognizing Rob Fulton on his 22 years of dedicated service to Ramsey County Public Health.

WHEREAS, Rob Fulton has been working for Ramsey County since 1988, and served as the Director of Saint Paul-Ramsey County Public Health for 22 years, and
WHEREAS, Rob has been a leader in programs and services that are offered with the needs of all Minnesotans in mind, including working on issues such as smoke-free environments, violence prevention, childhood obesity, nutrition education, and childhood lead poisoning, and
WHEREAS, Rob recognized the need to address the demands of a changing population with large numbers of immigrants and made health education and outreach to new arrivals a priority by committing resources and staff training in order to effectively serve these populations, and
WHEREAS, Rob has demonstrated long-standing commitment to serving families with many challenges by implementing prorams that demonstrate positive outcomes such as public health nurse-led home visiting and other efforst that focused on prevention and early intervention, and
WHEREAS, Rob has been an ambassador for Minnesota Public Health and has been recognized by state and national organizations for his contributions to public health emergency preparedness, including conducting training and exercises to respond to emergencies such as pandemic flud. Now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council would like to recognize and thank Rob Fulton for his dedication to his work and his ongoing commitment to improving the health and safety of Saitn Paul and Ramsey County residents, and for his role as a mentor and leader in the field of Public Health.
