Amending the 2024 Regional Water Services Adopted Budget resulting in an increase of spending in the amount of $26,300 for grant funds from Capitol Region Watershed District Planning.
Body
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul (“Board”) adopted its 2024 budget in September 2023; and
WHEREAS, staff had been directed by the Board at its January 11, 2024 meeting to apply for the $26,300 in Planning Grant funding from the Capitol Region Watershed District to be used for offsetting a majority of the cost of the study; and
WHEREAS, the Board has been awarded $26,300 through a Capitol Region Watershed District Planning Grant and such funds are dedicated to conducting an assessment and opportunities study for stormwater best management practices at the McCarrons Treatment Plant campus; and
WHEREAS, at its July 9, 2024 meeting, the Board approved accepting the grant award and the execution of the grant agreement via Resolution 24-971; and
WHEREAS, 2024 Administrative order No. 4 increases the 2024 spending budget to include $26,300 in Capitol Region Watershed District Planning Grant funds awarded to the Board; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Board of Water Commissioners does hereby recommend amendment to its 2024 Adopted Budget, resulting in an increase of spending of $26,300 to the 2024 Adopted Budget, resulting in an amended budget of $218,518,536, the details of such are attached, and does recommend approval by the Saint Paul City Council.
