WHEREAS, The Knight Foundation will convene city mayors and civic and community leaders from across the country to explore key issues shaping our communities, including scaling innovative models for economic mobility, using AI and technology in city halls to address urban challenges, and strengthening freedom of expression, followed by an evening dinner with a broader group of civic and community leaders.
WHEREAS, this year’s program will take place from February 11- February 12 in Miami, Florida.
WHEREAS, Nick Stumo-Langer has been invited to join other civic and community leaders as Assistant Mayor; and
WHEREAS, the Knight Foundation has offered to cover the travel expenses and lodging for Assistant Mayor Stumo-Langer to attend; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul finds that attendance at this convening is beneficial to the City by providing an opportunity for participants to engage in sessions to develop expertise, obtain practical knowledge, share successes, and to develop a professional network; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the gift of travel expenses and lodging for Assistant Mayor Nick Stumo-Langer to attend the conference, and thanks the Knight Foundation for its generous gift.
