Accepting Contamination Cleanup and Investigation grants from the Department of Employment and Economic Development, and Livable Communities Demonstration Account Tax Base Revitalization account grants from the Metropolitan Council and amending the 2017 budget.

WHEREAS, the City Council on:
§ April 20, 2016, by Resolution number 16-660, authorized the Director of the Department of Planning and Economic Development to submit applications to the Department of Employment and Economic Development for Contamination Cleanup and Investigation grants and to the Metropolitan Council for Tax Base Revitalization Account Program for the 2300 Territorial, 719 Payne, Dorothy Day Opportunity Center, RS Eden Workforce on Marshall, St. Paul Village, Thomas Avenue Flats, West Side Flats Phase III, 428 Minnesota, and Hamm’s Brewery sites;
§ June 22, 2016, by Resolution number 16-1033, identified the need for Livable Communities Demonstration Account and authorized the Director of the Department of Planning and Economic Development to submit applications to the Metropolitan Council Livable Communities Demonstration Account funds for Dorothy Day Opportunity Centers, West Side Flats Greenway and West Side Flats Phase III;
§ October 19, 2016, by Resolution number 16-1719, authorized the Director of the Department of Planning and Economic Development to submit applications to the Department of Employment and Economic Development for Contamination Cleanup and Investigation Grants, and to the Metropolitan Council for Tax Base Revitalization Account Program Pilot and Contamination Cleanup grants for the 428 Minnesota Street, RiverEast School, Selby-Milton-Victoria, Empire Building, Degree of Honor Building, Hamm’s Brewery, Karibu Grocery and Deli, and Lexington Library sites;
