Approving the Mayor’s reappointment of Nieeta Presley, Brian Martinson, Simon Taghioff, Kristine Grill, Richard Holst, Jacob B. Reilly, Seanne M. Thomas, and Elizabeth Starling to the Planning Commission.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Planning Commission is an advisory body that reviews and makes recommendations on comprehensive planning and zoning issues, studies, and amendments within the city of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the City Council in Ordinance 25-79 enacted changes to Sec. 107.01. of the Saint Paul Administrative Code to reduce the size of the Planning Commission to a seven (7) member advisory body with two (2) alternate members made up of citizen volunteers appointed by the Mayor with consent of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sec. 107.01. of the Saint Paul Administrative Code, the Planning Commission members shall be appointed for a term of three (3) years and until their successors are appointed; and
WHEREAS, Nieeta Presley, Brian Martinson, Simon Taghioff, Kristine Grill, Richard Holst, Jacob B. Reilly, Seanne M. Thomas, and Elizabeth Starling are current members of the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, Nieeta Presley, Brian Martinson, Simon Taghioff, Kristine Grill, Richard Holst, Jacob B. Reilly, Seanne M. Thomas, and Elizabeth Starling are serving expired terms and have expressed interest in reappointment to the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Kaohly Her wishes to reappoint Nieeta Presley to the Planning Commission with a term ending on October 31, 2026; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Kaohly Her wishes to reappoint Simon Taghioff, Kristine Grill, Richard Holst, and Jacob B. Reilly to the Planning Commission with terms ending on January 31, 2027; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Kaohly Her wishes to reappoint Seanne M. Thomas and Elizabeth Starling to the Planning Commission with terms ending on March 31, 2028; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Kaohly Her wishes to reappoint Brian Martinson to the Planning Commission with a term ending on February 28, 2029; and now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves the reappointment of Nieeta Presley as a member of the Planning Commission with a term ending on October 31, 2026.
FURTHER RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council approves the reappointment of Simon Taghioff, Kristine Grill, Richard Holst, Jacob B. Reilly as members of the Planning Commission with terms ending on January 31, 2027.
FURTHER RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council approves the reappointment of Seanne M. Thomas, and Elizabeth Starling as members to the Planning Commission with terms ending on March 31, 2028.
FURTHER RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council approves the reappointment of Brian Martinson as a member of the Planning Commission with a term ending February 28, 2029.
