Amending the financing and spending plan in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $80,000 for additional funds from the Capitol Region Watershed District and the Public Works Department for the Trout Brook Lift Station project.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation completed redevelopment of the Trout Brook site; and
WHEREAS, the City supports, and will continue to support, collaboration with the Capital Region Watershed District and other agencies and groups to provide resources for increasing water quality, and for providing a cleaner environment throughout the city; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is constructing a stormwater harvest system to complete reintroduction of a creek as a stormwater feature and recreational amenity for users in Trout Brook Regional Park; and
WHEREAS, the CRWD Board of Managers supports this project and has authorized an additional payment of no more than $30,000 for Trout Brook Lift Station project; and
WHEREAS, the City of St. Paul’s Department of Public Works supports this project and has authorized payment of $50,000 to the Department of Parks and Recreation to support the vision of reintroduction of stormwater; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to accept said funding and amend the financing and spending budget in the amount of $80,000 for the Trout Brook Lift Station project; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $80,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2017 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Committee, that $80,000 is available for appropriation in the 2017 Capital Improvement Budget, and said budget, as heretofore adopted by Council, are hereby further amended as outlined in the attached Financial Analysis.
