Approving the application for change of ownership to the Auto Repair Garage license now held by Vue’s Auto Repair LLC d/b/a Vue’s Auto Repair (License ID #20250001121) for the premises located at 1202 Dale St N.
Body

WHEREAS, on July 18, 2025, Vue’s Auto Repair LLC d/b/a Vue’s Auto Repair (License ID #20250001121) applied for a change of ownership to the Auto Repair Garage license for the premises located at 1202 Dale St N; and
WHEREAS, on August 5, 2025, the Department of Safety and Inspections (DSI) received a letter from the North End Neighborhood Organization stating their support for the issuance of the license; and
WHEREAS, on July 23, 2025, the Department of Safety and Inspections sent out the required License Application Notification with a response date of August 7, 2025; and
WHEREAS, in response to the notification no objections or comments were received; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the application is in order and there are no grounds to deny approval of the license; now, therefore, be it,
RESOLVED, the change of ownership for Auto Repair Garage license is hereby approved and issued to Vue’s Auto Repair LLC d/b/a Vue’s Auto Repair (License ID #20250001121) for the premises located at 1202 Dale St N., with the following licensing conditions:
A maximum of eighteen (18) total vehicles (customer/employee/business) may be parked on the property at any time (one shall be designated and marked for handicapped parking) as indicated on the approved site plan, on file with DSI dated 7/13/2016.

2. Provide maneuvering space on the property to allow vehicles entering and exiting the site to proceed forward as indicated on the approved site plan on file with DSI dated 7/13/2016. Backing from the street or on to the street from the property is prohibited.

3. The building shall be painted and maintained in good order and repair. The lot must be striped and landscaped in accordance with the approved site plan on file with DSI dated 7/13/2016. As identified, in the approved site plan, an 8-foot-wide landscaped area and four medium sized lilac bushes shall be installed along the sidewalk on Dale Street and maintained in good order and repair.

4. There will be no exterior storage of inoperable vehicles.

5. There will be no exterior storage of vehicle parts, tires, oil, batteries or similar items. All trash must be stored in a covered dumpster or indoors.

6. All vehicles parked outdoors on the lot must appear to be completely assembled with no major body parts missing.

7. Vehicles are prohibited from projecting over the public right-of-way. No vehicles under the control of the licensee can be parked and or stored in the public right-of-way (e.g., street, alley, sidewalk, boulevard, etc.). This includes vehicles waiting for repairs and vehicles waiting to be picked up by the customer.

8. Vehicle sales is not permitted.

9. No auto body repair or painting of vehicles/parts is allowed.

10. Customer vehicles must not be parked longer than 10 days on the premises.

11. All signs must conform to the zoning code standard. A sign permit application is required for all exterior signs visible from the public right-of-way.

12. Lighting on the site shall conform to the standards outlined in Section 62.110 of the zoning code.

13. The business shall open no earlier than 8 a.m., and close no later than 8 p.m.

14. Licensee must comply with all federal, state and local laws.

15. There shall be no auto repair work done on the exterior of the property or in the public right-of-way (e.g., street, sidewalk, alley, boulevard, etc.). All repair work must be done within a fully enclosed building.

16. Licensee acknowledges that a Second Hand Dealer – Motor Vehicle Parts license is required in order to sell used tires.

17. Tires displayed outdoors for sale must be stored inside the building when the building is closed. Outdoor display of tires shall be confined to the area shown on the approved site plan on file with DSI dated 7/13/2016 (the southwest corner of the property) and shall not project into the public right-of-way.
