Approving the expansion of an Auto Repair Garage license to the existing Auto Body Repair/Painting Shop License to the existing licenses for A Certified Collision Center Inc d/b/a A Certified Collision Center (License ID# 20030002881) for the premises located at 920 Atlantic Street.

WHEREAS, on June 26, 2024, A Certified Collision Center Inc d/b/a A Certified Collision Center (License ID# 20030002881) applied for the expansion of an Auto Repair Garage license to the existing Auto Body Repair/Painting Shop License for the premises located at 920 Atlantic St.
WHEREAS, the Department of Safety and Inspections sent out the required License Application Notification on December 10, 2024, with a response date of December 25, 2024; and
WHEREAS, in response to the notification, no objections were received, and the Council finds that the application is in order with no grounds to deny approval of the license; now, therefore, be it; and
RESOLVED, the addition of the expansion of an Auto Repair Garage license to the existing Auto Body Repair/Painting Shop License are hereby approved and issued to A Certified Collision Center Inc d/b/a A Certified Collision Center (License ID# 20030002881), for the premises located at 920 Atlantic St., with the following existing license conditions:
1. The arrangement with the property owner states, “Union Pacific Railroad agrees to allow the fence border between our two property lines as they sit today (11/18/2024)”. The license holder must submit a new site plan to DSI if this agreement changes.
2. All customer and employee vehicles must be parked in accordance with the approved site plan on file with the Department of Safety and Inspections (DSI) dated 12/4/2024. A maximum of twenty-two (22) vehicles may be parked on the property at any time.
3. Provide maneuvering space on the property to allow vehicles entering and exiting the site to proceed forward. Backing from the street or on to the street is prohibited.
4. No customer vehicles under the control of the licensee can be parked and or stored in the public right-of-way (e.g., street, alley, sidewalk, boulevard, etc.) this includes vehicles waiting for repairs and vehicles waiting to be picked up by the customer.
5. There shall be no exterior storage of vehicle parts, tires, oil or any other similar materials associated with the business. Trash will be stored in a covered dumpster per the approved site plan. Storage of vehicle fluids, batteries etc. shall be in accordance with the Ramsey County Hazardous Waste regulations.
6. All vehicles parked outdoors must appear to be completely assembled with no major body parts missing.
7. The storage of vehicles for the purpose of salvaging parts is expressly forbidden. Vehicle salvage is not permitted.
8. No repair of vehicles may occur on the exterior of the lot or in the public right-of-way (e.g., street, alley, sidewalk, boulevard, etc.) all repair work must occur within an enclosed building.
9. Customer vehicles may not be parked longer than ten (10) days on the premises. It is the responsibility of the license holder to ensure that any vehicle not claimed by its owner is removed from the premises as permitted by law.
10. Vehicle sales is not allowed.
11. The business activities on the licensed premises shall operate in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. Failure to remain in compliance will result in adverse action against the licenses.
