Garbage Hauler: Republic Services
Type of Order/Fee: Garbage Hauling
Billing Time Period: 4th Quarter 2018 (Oct 1 - Dec 31)
Invoice Date(s): Oct - MISSING / Nov - 11/30/2018 / Dec - 12/31/2018
Returned Mail/Notice Concerns?:
Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): I was inadvertently sent a delinquent notice, stating I owe money; my hauler states I have a credit balance (I do NOT owe money), and I agree . This was sent in error. Please remove.
Staff Comments: When a delinquent balance is turned over to the City, the property owner's account with the garbage hauler will show a zero balance. The City is now responsible for collecting that amount. The $21.05 is showed as a "credit" because this amount was removed from their account and turned over to the City for assessment. If the property owner made a payment to the garbage hauler after January 5th, 2019, that payment was applied as a credit on their account. The property owner is still responsible for paying the City any outstanding delinquent balance from Quarter 4 2018.
