WHEREAS, on November 4, 2024, Dunn Enterprises Inc d/b/a Johnson Williams Funeral Sales (License ID 20240001967) applied for a Motor Vehicle Dealer- New Vehicles and Second Hand Dealer- Motor Vehicle- New Location license for the premises located at 935 Bradford St.; and  

WHEREAS, on November 27, 2024, the Department of Safety and Inspections sent out the required License Application Notification; with a response date of December 12, 2024; and

WHEREAS, in response to the November 27, 2024, notification, the Department of Safety and Inspections received no objections to approval of the Motor Vehicle Dealer- New Vehicles and Second Hand Dealer- Motor Vehicle - New Location license; and 

WHEREAS, the Council finds that the application is in order and there are no grounds to deny approval of the license; now, therefore, be it,

RESOLVED, a Motor Vehicle Dealer- New Vehicles and Second Hand Dealer- Motor Vehicle New Location license is hereby approved and issued to Dunn Enterprises Inc d/b/a Johnson Williams Funeral Sales (License ID 20240001967) for the premises located at 935 Bradford St., with the following existing licensing conditions.

1.                     Vehicles shall be parked in accordance with the approved parking plan on file with the Department of Safety and Inspections (DSI).

 

2.                     There shall be no exterior storage of vehicle parts, tires, oil or any other similar materials associated with the business. Trash will be stored in a covered dumpster. Storage of vehicle fluids, batteries, etc. shall be in accordance with the Ramsey County Hazardous Waste regulations.

 

3.                     No vehicles under the control of the licensee can be parked and/or stored in the public right-of-way (e.g., street, alley, sidewalk, boulevard, etc.). This includes for-sale vehicles or sold vehicles waiting to be picked up by the customer.

 

4.                     Customer, employee, and/or for-sale vehicles shall not be parked in the driveway or maneuvering lanes.

 

5.                     The storage of vehicles for the purpose of salvaging parts is expressly forbidden. All vehicles parked outdoors must appear to be completely assembled with no major body parts missing. Vehicle salvage is not permitted.

 

6.                     Auto repair, auto body repair and/or the painting of vehicles is prohibited.

 

7.                     Customer vehicles may not be parked longer than ten (10) days on the premises. It shall be the responsibility of the licensee to ensure that any vehicle not claimed by its owner is removed from the lot as permitted by law.

 

8.                     Provide maneuvering space on the property to allow vehicles entering and exiting to the site to proceed forward. Backing from the street or on the street is prohibited.

 

9.                     Licensee must comply with all federal, state and local laws.
