Making finding on the appeal of Erin Metz Verdeja to a nuisance abatement ordered for 1518 SELBY AVENUE in Council File RLH SAO 26-60.

WHEREAS, the City Council adopted RLH SAO 26-60 on September 9, 2026 which granted the following: 1) grant plant height variance on Saratoga side of property, as specified in attached i) variance of 10”, allowing plant height of 28” within 30’ of intersection; ii) variance of 6”, allowing plant height of 42” beyond 30’ from the intersection to 2’ from driveway, where plant height shall not exceed 18”; 2) deny planting height variance appeal and grant until October 30, 2026 on Selby side of property and plantings not to exceed 18” within 30’ of intersection
at 1518 Selby Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed this case on November 3, 2026 to determine if the owner and/or responsible party abated the nuisance conditions and found these conditions [were / were not] abated; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council adopts the finding of the legislative hearing officer that the nuisance condition is [abated and the matter resolved / not abated and therefore authorizes the Department of Safety and Inspections to proceed with this nuisance abatement].
