WHEREAS, on March 22, 2023, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File
RLH AR 23-14, said Resolutions being the memorialization of appeal for Collection of Vacant Building Registration fees billed during July 11 to September 19, 2022. (File No. VB2305, Assessment No. 238804); and
WHEREAS, the property at 1689 Juliet Avenue, being described as: Elmwood Lot 15 Blk 2, with the property identification number 09-28-23-14-0041 was assessed an amount of $2,616; and
WHEREAS, City Council adopted File RLH AR 23-14 approving the assessment; and
WHEREAS, the appellant, Michelle Schumacher, made a request to review this case again and consider deleting or reducing the original assessment; and
WHEREAS, a legislative hearing was conducted under RLH SR 23-247 on December 19, 2023 to review this request; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends the Council deny the request to delete or reduce the vacant building assessment fee and to ratify the assessment as part of its assessment roll; Now Therefore, Be It,
RESOLVED, that Council File No. RLH AR 23-14 is hereby ratified and payable in one installment, noting fee has been paid.
