Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to enter into a three-year lease agreement with District 14 Community Council at Edgcumbe Recreation Center.

WHEREAS, the City is the owner of Edgcumbe Recreation Center, located at 320 South Griggs Street, Saint Paul, MN 55105 and would like to lease space to the District 14 Community Council; and
WHEREAS, allowing lease of space by the District Council provides residents an easily accessible space to the Community Council.
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Administrative Code Section 86.03 requires that any lease for a period of more than one year be approved by the City Council after a public hearing before the Saint Paul Parks Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Parks Commission recommended approval of the agreement (Res #18-21) at its Dec. 13, 2018 meeting; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council authorizes the Department of Parks and Recreation to enter into a three-year lease agreement with District 14 Macalester-Groveland at Edgcumbe Recreation Center.
