Approving and authorizing acceptance of a Redevelopment Grant Program funding from the Department of Employment and Economic Development and amending the 2020 Budget.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Council on:
§ February 11, 2020, by Resolution number 20-144, approved the application by the Department of Planning and Economic Development to the State of Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development Redevelopment Grant funding for Northwest Corner of University and Dale project; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Employment and Economic Development approved the following grant application:
§ Redevelopment Grant of $598,000.00 for the Northwest University Dale project; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does hereby certify that $598,000.00 in funds are available for appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2020 budget and recommends the change to the 2020 budget identified on the attached Financial Analysis; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Saint Paul accepts this grant and approves the change identified on the attached Financial Analysis to the 2020 budget; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, Director of the Office of Financial Services, Director of Human Rights and Equal Opportunity, and Director of Planning and Economic Development of the City of Saint Paul are hereby authorized to execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the purposes of this resolution.
