Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to apply for grant funds of $15,000 from the Minnesota State Arts Board for virtual art opportunities provided by the McDonough Recreation Center.

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting permission to apply for, and if granted, accept $15,000 in grant funds from the Minnesota State Arts Board to support virtual art opportunities provided by McDonough Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds, if awarded, will provide quality virtual art activities, including activities provided by quality artists, to enhance the art opportunities provided to Saint Paul youth; and
WHEREAS, there is no required match of these funds by the City and other supporting agencies of this virtual programming; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes the Parks and Recreation Department to apply for said grant, and if awarded, accept said funds from the Minnesota State Arts Board.
