Appeal of Margaret Chyba to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Correction Notice at 1620 NEVADA AVENUE EAST.

Purpose of Appeal

I had new windows put in 11/5/04, Inv. attached.  At that time there was no ruling about egress windows.  Per window company, I did ask them to put in whatever windows were needed to be up to code.  I also called the City to see if the proper permit was pulled.

Variance Recommendation

Yes, although it looks like the order needs to be corrected, I recommend a 1 inch variance in egress opening height.  No hearing necessary.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the appeal of Margaret Chyba to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Correction Notice at 1620NEVADA AVENUE EAST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant a 1 inch variance in egress opening height, Now, Therefore, Be It

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
