WHEREAS, by CF #22-1354, the Department of Parks and Recreation applied for and has received a $30,000 Creative Support for Organizations grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board (MSAB); and

WHEREAS, grant funds will allow the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide support for the Dayton’s Bluff Project: Celebrating Community Through Art; and

WHEREAS, granted funds require that the Department of Parks and Recreation enter into a grant agreement that details the conditions of the grant, which include an indemnification clause; and

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul finds that funds to provide quality, performance and visual art instruction to Saint Paul youth, specifically youth from the Dayton’s Bluff community, has a public purpose; and

WHEREAS, there is no match amount required of these funds by the City and other supporting agencies of the grant; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to accept this grant and utilize the funding through the spending plan that has been developed; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to amend the Grant Fund budget to reflect this additional funding; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.01 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $30,000 in excess of those estimated in the current Grant Budget; now, therefore, be it
