3. Basement Unit-Need sufficient time to hire General Contractor to design and construct new space

4. Building Exterior-Need sufficient time for estimates and completion of work

6. Laundry Room Ceiling-Need sufficient time for estimates and completion of work

7. Third Floor Water Damaged Ceiling-Dining Room Ceiling was damaged by water leaking through hail damaged roof.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of John S. Jagiela to a Re-Inspection Fire Certificate of Occupancy With Deficiencies (which includes vacating 2 areas) at 134 Montrose Place, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant to October 16, 2023 for compliance with temporary fix of roof with submitted statement by contractor, mold and mildew abatement throughout, and repair of ceiling of laundry room. Grant to July 1, 2024 for compliance with painting orders and permanent repair of roof July 1, 2023 for compliance with items related to plumbing, temporary roof repairs (item 7), and hardwired smoke alarms (item 5), and refer back to Legislative Hearing on July 11, 2023 to discuss deadline for balance of orders; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
