Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $2,300 for a grant received from the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce for health and wellness equipment for the firefighters at Fire Station 18.
Body
WHEREAS, the Fire Department has applied for and received a grant for $2,300 from the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce for health and wellness equipment for Fire Station 18; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department received approval to apply for this grant on Resolution 23-170 on February 1, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this grant is to purchase health and wellness equipment for firefighters; and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the grant received; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation of funds of $2,300 in excess of those estimated in the 2023 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the addition as specified in the attachment "Chamber of Commerce Station 18 Financial Analysis $2,300" to be made to the 2023 budget, now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts this grant from the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce and approves the changes to the 2023 budget.
