HUDSON ROAD within fifteen (15) days after the May 26, 2021, City Council
Public Hearing. (Amend to remove within 15 days )
61
Marcia Moermond, Legislative Hearing Officer: This has been in front of you for seven
months without receiving a vote for either rehabilitation or removal of the structure.
Plans have not been forthcoming. Just this last weekend the most recent set of plans
fell through for the rehab. Those plans were developed after the Council gave grace for
their development. The owner has been unable to move forward on her own and the
grant of time last time was contingent upon someone other than the owner doing the
rehab. I'm asking you continue the Public Hearing to January 12 to allow one more
opportunity for the property to be rehabilitated by a different third party, and not accept
a plan by the owner at that time to do the rehab. Given the length of time and number
of failures it is a matter of no confidence on my part. The attorney representing the
owner and I have talked throughout the day about this plan, and he has chosen not to
testify now.
Councilmember Prince moved to continue the public hearing to January 12.

Council Meeting Information
The City Council is paperless which saves the environment and reduces expenses.
The agendas and Council files are all available on the Web (see below). Council
members use mobile devices to review the files during the meeting. Using a mobile
device greatly reduces costs since most agendas, including the documents attached
to files, are over 1000 pages when printed.
Web
Meetings are available on the Council's website. Email notification and web feeds
(RSS) of newly released minutes, agendas, and meetings are available by subscription.
minutes, and supporting documents.
