From: District 1 Council Sent: Wednesday, June 3, 2015 10:26 AM To: Dermody, Bill (CI-StPaul) Subject: Community comment on Twin Cities Concrete Products Bill, I got a call from Bill Schabert of 694 Birmingham about the Twin Cities Academy project. He says that there is an old dump, possibly a city dump at the low end of the property and near his house. When they did the borings, they did not drill in this low area. He is concerned that if they simply cap the dump there will be outgassing from it that will impact his property (and the school). He says he is otherwise quite supportive of the project but does not want it to be done in such a way that there are negative impacts from this dump. The dump is NOT a part of Cemstone operations but precedes it - garbage is there. "You can't put a shovel in the ground without pulling up all sorts of stuff." He would like these comments to be a part of the record as the rezoning is considered. -- Betsy Leach Executive Director/Cmty Organizer District 1 Community Council 2105 1/2 Old Hudson Rd.
