I get a few comments that the council is considering changes in the City Wide Trash guidelines, but it seems they aren't interested in helping taxpayers with the burden of having to over pay to throw out simple trash, or teach people to process their own trash. The guise under which they started this was to clean up the neighborhood, and now there is more trash than ever with less funds to pay for it. I am also out of work, thanks to the virus, and the lack of leadership in which to attack it, and allowing the city burn in the process. I am strongly considering moving out of the city because of it. +1 PH 20-1 9/1/2020 3:06 AM Peter Butler     The City's 2021 Local Government Aid will likely be cut in Calendar Year 2021 as the State budget faces a significant negative impact for the July 2021 to June 2023 state biennium (page 13 of https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/budget/may-interim-budget-projection-do***ent.pdf). A "no layoffs" budget is hardly strategic; reduction in city services is determined by which departments have vacancies rather than prioritizing services as most essential to least essential. It is better to spread reductions out over a longer period than to have to cut budgets significantly in the second half of 2021.
