Title
Appeal of Mike and Kim Larson to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Inspection Correction Notice at 1685 FOURTH STREET EAST.

Purpose of Appeal
Only Egress Windows - During the recent Fire Inspection, we learned some windows aren't compliant with current city codes.  We purchased this home in 2004 with the existing windows.  With the mortgage owed on this property far greater than the current home value, and the rent we receive less than the monthly mortgage expense, it would be a great financial hardship to purchase and install new windows.  The costs associated with this fire inspection are already a burden.  We kindly ask the city for an exception regarding this code and allow the existing windows to remain.

Date of Order(s)
June 24, 2011

Variance Recommendation
Yes, 3 inches in egress opening height.
