Purpose of Appeal
Casement window width opening is just shy of current code.  (Actual opening: 18"/Code is 20".)  Assuming home met Code when constructed.  Fire Inspector Mike Cassidy felt comfortable with persuing a variance for these two windows.  All additinal items on the deficiency list have been corrected.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the appeal of Chris Beyer to an Egress Window Non-Compliance Determination at 1555-1557 ARKWRIGHT STREET, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant;
 
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant a 2-inch variance on the openable height of the egress bedroom windows in 1557 and 1555; Now, Therefore, Be It
 
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
