Approving the addition of an Entertainment (A) license to the existing Malt On Sale (Brewery Taproom), Liquor On Sale-Sunday, Malt Off Sale (Brewery) and Malt Off Sale (Small Brewery - 128 oz) licenses held by Gambit Brewing Co., LLC d/b/a Gambit Brewing Co. (License ID #20220001740) for the premises located at 141 Fourth Street East, Suite LL2.

WHEREAS, Gambit Brewing Co., LLC d/b/a Gambit Brewing Co. (License ID #20220001740) applied for an Entertainment (A) license on March 20, 2023, to add to their existing Malt On Sale (Brewery Taproom), Liquor On Sale-Sunday, Malt Off Sale (Brewery) and Malt Off Sale (Small Brewery - 128 oz) licenses for the premises located at 141 - 4th Street East, Suite LL2 in Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the licensee currently has the following existing license condition:
1. Licensee acknowledges that the licenses issued only permits the sale, service, display and/or consumption of beer which has been brewed by the licensee on these premises.
WHEREAS, on March 24, 2023, the Department of Safety and Inspections sent out the required License Application Notification; and
WHEREAS, in response to the March 24, 2023, notification, the Department of Safety and Inspections received no objections to the approval of an Entertainment (A) license with an additional license condition:
2. Per City of Saint Paul Legislative Code 411.02, the definition of Entertainment A is,”Amplified or nonamplified music and/or singing by performers without limitation as to number, and group singing participated in by patrons of the establishment.” (includes karaoke). Entertainment A license does not allow for patron and/or performance dances.”
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the application is in order, the additional license condition is reasonable and there are no grounds to deny approval of the license; now, therefore, be it,
RESOLVED, an Entertainment (A) license is hereby approved and issued...
