Body

WHEREAS, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory is a member of the ACE for Wildlife Network, and;

WHEREAS, the Woodland Park Zoo manages the ACE for Wildlife Network, and;

WHEREAS, ACE for Wildlife hosts an annual summit bringing nationwide network members together, and;

WHEREAS, Kelsey Raffel has been invited to represent Como Park Zoo and Conservatory at the 2023 ACE for Wildlife Summit, and;

WHEREAS, ACE for Wildlife has offered to cover airfare, on-the-ground travel, hotel, and meals for Kelsey Raffel to attend, and;

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul finds that attendance at this convening is beneficial to the City by providing an opportunity for participants to engage in sessions to develop expertise, obtain practical knowledge, and develop a professional network; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the gift of airfare, on-the-ground travel, hotel, and meals for Kelsey Raffel to attend the ACE for Wildlife 2023 Summit in Seattle, WA from Feb 7^th-10^th 2023.
