Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Emergency Management budget in the amount of $34,690 for the 2022 Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) to provide assistance for Emergency Management conference expenses, services, and supplies.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Emergency Management received permission to apply for the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) on RES 22-823; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Emergency Management has received a grant of $34,690 from the State of Minnesota for the 2022 Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) to provide assistance for Emergency Management conference expenses, services, and supplies; and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for this grant; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $34,690 in excess of those estimated in the 2022 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the following addition to be made to the 2022 budget:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby approves the changes to the 2022 budget referenced in the resolution, and furthermore authorizes the appropriate city officials to execute and implement the grant agreement for the 2022 Emergency Management Performance (EMPG).
