Second Making finding on the appealed substantial abatement ordered for 698 DESOTO STREET in Council File RLH RR 22-17.  (Amend to grant 180 days)

WHEREAS, the City Council adopted RLH RR 22-17 on April 20, 2022 which granted 180 days to repair the structure, correct all of the deficiencies listed in the Order to Abate Nuisance Building and the Code Compliance Report at 698 Desoto Street; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed this case on October 25, 2022 to determine if the owner and/or responsible party abated the nuisance conditions and found these conditions to be 75% addressed;

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an updated plan and financing for the completion of the abatement and recommends [forthcoming] that the City Council grant an additional 180 days for the complete the abatement of the nuisance/dangerous conditions at this property; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council adopts the finding of the legislative hearing officer that the nuisance condition is not yet abated; and

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council grants an extension of 180 days for the completion of the abatement and continues the $5,000 performance deposit pending the results of the November 8, 2022 Legislative Hearing, in which the plans for completion of the abatement will be reviewed.
